In 2015, he graduated top in his class with a bachelor´s degree in Chemistry at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). Afterwards, he has been awarded the best academic record (mejor expediente académico) in the Faculty of Chemistry of the class of 2015 and the extraordinary award (Premio Extraordinario de Grado) for one of the best academic records at the Complutense University of Madrid, class of 2015. Since the second year, he started to colaborate with professor Luque Garcia at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, in the area of bioanalytical chemistry and proteomics. Research performed during undergrauate studies dealt with mass spectrometry membrane proteomics, characterizing their role in hepatocellular disease (HEP-G2 cells) and improving current mass spectrometry methods of extraction and analysis for enhanced yield and richer datasets. In his fourth year, he was awarded a scholarship of collaboration (Beca de Colaboración) from the Ministry of Culture and Education (MEC) to keep working on research projects, and he published his first-authored paper in the Journal of Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry. He also did an internship in clinical biochemistry in the fourth year. He has also done stays in Bournemouth, England and in Tarrytown, NY, USA. In 2018, he graduated with a Master of Science (MS) from the University of California, Davis thanks to La Caixa fellowship. During this period, he has done research in environmental toxicology and health, studying the role of indoor chemicals (SVOCs) in human disease as well as quantiyfing exposures to these type of chemicals.
